TRUMP ELIMINATES JOBS FOR DOCTORS: Poor Hardest Hit

CBS NEWS /December 28, 2017

In an end-of-the-year move that will likely cost many doctors their jobs in the coming year, the Trump administration plays what many are calling the “after-Christmas Grinch.”

According to an unnamed source close to Health and Human Services Secretary Eric D. Hargan, researchers at UCLA Berkeley have modified an isolated protein to create a formula that kills cancer cells while not harming surrounding healthy tissue. In clinical trials the drug was 98 percent effective, with no side effects.

While the White House attempts to spin the move as positive, sources close to the president are saying they are privately worried from fallout, as it will cost many doctors their jobs at a time when people are attempting to recover from the holiday season.

While the official announcement is set for Friday, in a joint press conference, but President Trump jumped on Twitter in an attempt at taking credit for what may turn out to be a big negative, tweeting, “We’ve found a cure for the big C. Best cure ever. Big league cure! Dems suck!” He added a swipe at former President Obama, who is ranked as one of the best presidents ever, beating Trump by a wide margin.Trump Tweet Cancer.png

President Obama said he was reluctant to comment on the doings of the current commander-in-chief,  but tweeted that many people would suffer from this move, and that it would hurt the poor more than others. “The rich can afford this medicine, but what of the poor, who don’t have towers named after them? They will suffer. Thanks @realdonaldtrump!” in a phone interview with CBS News he added, “Doctors who have counted on helping patients for years will be without a job. Is that really fair to people who have devoted their lives to helping the poor?”Obama Tweet Cancer.jpg

Stuart Bussey, President of the Union of American Physicians & Dentists, says the union isn’t sure if they will sue or not, but that it is “totally irresponsible,” of the administration to use this as an attempt at weakening the union.

Calls For Knife Safety in Wake of Attack

Knives

Keven Steller, Guest Writer for The New Y0rk Times

The rash of attacks by knife-wielding killers and would-be killers has prompted some to question how our society has become so “blade-centric” that the mere consideration of knife safety is seen as the beginning of war between two directly opposed groups. Some political leaders, including President Obama, have voiced concerns and desire to use knife control to limit blade violence, yet even they admit there is little stomach in congress for limiting knife ownership.

Days after a brutal stabbing in Michigan left two dead and several others seriously injured, Obama said he was saddened by the senseless loss of life and discussed the politics of knife control. He said politics at present prevent doing much about controlling knives in this country, but that we have to “shift how we think on the issue of knife violence collectively.”

2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton also spoke on the issue, saying “We have to face hard truths about race, violence, knives, and division. . . How many people do we need to see cut down before we act?” Some believe using the phrase “cut down” was an intentional pun, but most think it was accidental.

Charles Schumer, who has long fought for knife control, suggests that registration of knives would help. “All we ask for is registration,” he points out. “Just like we do for cars.” But conspiracy theorists say registering our knives is only a first step toward taking them away.

Others suggest that, rather than restricting knives in general, America needs to get over its love affair with “assault-style” knives. Noted commentator Piers Morgan has said, “I’m in favor of a nationwide ban of military style knives, multi-blade assault[knives and large-capacity blades.” His words are a distillation of common-sense regulatory ideas floated by Democrats over the past few years, particularly Diane Feinstein, who also favors banning multi-blade and large knives. She points out that we really don’t need a knife more than two inches long for most of our day-to-day cutting. “If you’re cutting a roast into steaks, the butcher can do that with properly licensed and controlled knives,” she said on the floor of the Senate. “There’s really no reason for joe six-pack to stockpile 6, 8, even 10-inch or larger knives.” She made a personal plea. “Every day, kids are stabbing each other, and this leaves out the accidental injuries and deaths from knives that occur all over our country. Simply banning these larger knives would save lives. There’s no denying that.”

And while she is right, there’s also no denying that the political climate is such that any laws restricting knives will probably fail to reach the President’s desk.

Gay Hunting Groups to Phil: Duck Off and Blow it Out Your. . .

Guest post written by Harold Lethermann, author of “Gay Like Me, One Man’s Attempt to Step Into the Shoes of Another,” available at Amazon.com

The country’s largest groups representing gay hunters has publicly declared that they will no longer be supporting the Duck Commander line of products, due to the statements the patriarch of the family recently made in an interview for GQ magazine. This could cost the Duck Commander owners hundreds of dollars.

Image     “I’m just. . . We’re all going to take our business somewhere else,” said Phil McCracken, representative for Hunters Against Homophobia in America. “I mean, we’ve been happy with Duck Commander products, but we can just as well give our business to another guy who will appreciate us more.” he insisted that members of his group have bought dozens of duck calls over the past several years, and had bought exclusively from the Duck Commander line. He admitted the first purchase was the result of a misprint of “Duck Commander” on an advertisement, but said once they received the calls they were impressed.

Another member of the group sounded regretful of the fact that they could no longer buy the calls. “They make the absolute best calls,” said Bo Tomboy, tears brimming in his eyes. “They have such resonance and tone, and they just feel like they belong in your mouth.” He smiled, recalling fond memories, “those things always draw the ducks, and you should see how well they work in a bar too.”

The third member of the group added that he didn’t like guns, but loved using the calls when out on the hunt with partners. “There’s nothing like a cool morning, on your knees in the marsh, with a Duck Commander between your lips. Those tones can carry across a small lake and echo back from the trees.”

It was previously suggested in the Washington Post that Robertson had reached out to the group via phone with an offer to buy back his duck calls, but HAHA denied that he had called, then added that if he did, “we wouldn’t dignify him by returning his call.”

Image     Repeated attempts to contact the other gay hunter group, “Gay Hunters and Grateful,” received no response. They released a statement, however, published in the New York Times, which read in part, “neither member of our group will be purchasing Duck Commander calls anymore.”

Why Do Liberals Hate President Obama So Much? Just Read these 10 Quotes.

Image

Since taking office in 2009, President Obama has done much to anger conservatives, to be sure. His love affair with abortion and giving federal money to support it overseas, his love affair with big government, deficit spending, and debt, and his continued push to force people to buy insurance and to pay for other people’s contraceptives and abortions has frustrated conservatives. But why is it that liberals are beginning to hate him? Up until his election, liberals have had a love affair with then Senator and Presidential-candidate Obama. Where else could they find a candidate who would vote multiple times against a bill to ban infanticide in Illinois hospitals? So why do they hate him? Enjoy these quotes, with notes on how they enrage liberals.

1. “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America‘s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America ‘s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” [Conservatives say “bravo,” but liberals say “heresy.”]

2. “So long as I’m Commander-in-Chief, we will sustain the strongest military the world has ever known. When you take off the uniform, we will serve you as well as you’ve served us – because no one who fights for this country should have to fight for a job, or a roof over their head, or the care that they need when they come home.” [Conservatives say “Hoorah,” but the liberals say “don’t support the baby killers.” Unsurprisingly, they never use the same term when talking about abortion.]

3. There is a moral dimension to abortion, which I think pro-choice [people] have not talked about or tried to tamp down. That’s a mistake. [Conservatives look at the source and likely say “more bullshit talk,” while liberals choke on their latte’s and spit out the word “morals” as if it’s the worst curse they’ve ever encountered.]

W0201003046654273053944. “Tak[ing] out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.” [Conservatives: “I can’t believe that as*hole actually said that. Now look at him.” Liberals: “that was different. Now raising the debt ceiling and running debt is the best way to grow our economy. And it’s Bush’s fault.]

5. “That is the true genius of America, that we can say what we think, write what we think, without hearing a sudden knock on the door. That we can have an idea and start our own business without paying a bribe or hiring somebody’s son. That we can participate in the political process without fear of retribution, and that our votes will be counted.” [Conservatives: “What about NSA? What about IRS targeting conservative groups?” Liberals: “Say what you think? Not hate speech, by G-d. Screw the Republicans, we need to get back at them. And we need to destroy those Teabaggers.]

peoples-hopes-and-dreams-are-what-matters

6. “The American people’s hopes and dreams are what matters, not ours. Our obligations are to them. Our regard for them compels us all, Democrats and Republicans, to cooperate, and compromise, and act in the best interests of our nation –- one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.” [Conservatives are mad at both parties for their political crap, Liberals are too busy choking on their drink again because he used the “G” word and it wasn’t linked to “damn.”]

images7. “Secularists are wrong when they ask believers to leave their religion at the door before entering into the public square. Frederick Douglas, Abraham Lincoln, Williams Jennings Bryant, Dorothy Day, Martin Luther King – indeed, the majority of great reformers in American history – were not only motivated by faith, but repeatedly used religious language to argue for their cause. So to say that men and women should not inject their “personal morality” into public policy debates is a practical absurdity. Our law is by definition a codification of morality, much of it grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition.” [Conservatives: “If only he believed it.” Liberals can’t speak, they’re clutching their throats as words like “Christian,” and “morality” and “religion” spin through their minds.]

8. “Contrary to the claims of some of my critics and some of the editorial pages, I am an ardent believer in the free market.” [C: “What a liar.” L: “Free market sucks!”]

9. “[the opposition has put forward] this notion that I think government creates jobs, that that somehow is the answer. That’s not what I believe. I believe that the free enterprise system is the greatest engine of prosperity the world’s ever known. I believe in self-reliance and individual initiative and risk takers being rewarded.” [Conservatives: “You do not believe that stuff!” Liberals: “Free enterprise sucks, the government does too create jobs, and risk takers and entrepreneurs didn’t build that.”]

US Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) makes rem

10. “The right wing, the Christian right, has done a good job of building these organizations of accountability, much better than the left or progressive forces have. And they also have the higher moral ground with family values and moral responsibility.” * [This one is would be enough to make both liberals and conservatives think Barry was back on drugs.]

Obama appears to be more conservative than his predecessor (remember Bush said he had “abandoned free market principles to save the free market system,”) and, while he’s no Reagan, Obama does hold many views in opposition to many liberal policies. Liberals are largely racist, anti-capitalist, anti-free-market, anti-free-speech, amoral, anti-military, pro-abortion, pro-government deficit and debt, and against entrepreneurs. President Obama is none of these things. That’s why he’s hated by liberals. He doesn’t fit with the extreme left-wing. In other words, he isn’t a brainless hate-filed bastard. He’s the fiscally and morally conservative president we’ve been waiting for. 😉

*I Cannot misrepresent others, even in a satire piece. So I must say that the quote marked with an asterisk has been edited in a way that changes the meaning. The idea is to show that one can take quotes out of context, causing them to be imbued with different meanings.

These overtly religious quotes from Obama were not included in the piece because the reaction of liberals might have been insanity or heart-attack: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/21/obama-religious-quotes_n_1292116.html

CATHOLICS: PEOPLE SHOULD NOT OWN HOUSES

Shaun Donovan Showing how much patience he has with the Catholics

Donovan: I have this much patience for the no-housing Catholics

Bishops Seek to Deny Access to Housing

Detroit, 2/24/2012 – Bishop Jeffrey Walker, of Detroit, suggested that people don’t have a right to housing, according to HUD director Shaun Donovan. Donovan released notes from a private meeting between HUD and the Catholic Church regarding ways to implement the “Freedom From Homelessness” decision handed down from HUD.

“Why should the church be exempt from providing reasonable housing for their workers,” Donovan is quoted as telling Bishop Walker. “Affordable housing is a right and simply being a tax-exempt organization doesn’t make it acceptable to ignore anyone else’s rights.”

The flap arose after the decree was handed down that businesses would provide housing for all employees starting in December of 2014, and this has the Church in an uproar.

Kerry Harris, a homeless person who died from exposure, was unavailable for comment, but said in a press release, “Everyone should be able to have a home, and here the church is trying to prevent people from an existence if they don’t kowtow to the Pope.”

The Church has shown a history of battling against the people, such as the recent controversy that arose when the Catholics attempted to prevent workers at their schools and hospitals from obtaining contraceptives, a right clearly spelled out in article 2 of the third amendment.

Bishop Walker was unavailable for comment the several times we tried to reach him (5 pm Saturday and 9 am Sunday), but we were able to get a statement from a 12-year-old girl leaving church. “I think the Church is not trying to stop people from buying houses, they just aren’t buying the houses for them, except in Africa and South American. Just like they didn’t stop people from buying contraceptives, they just didn’t want to provide them.” Oh, the simple mind of a child, still seeing things in black and white.

President Obama speaking out

Obama: God doesn't want people going homeless.

The Obama administration had proposed a compromise, in which the Church would not have to provide housing, but instead whenever a church-owned building was a built or worked on, the builder would include (free to the church, so they wouldn’t be paying for it) housing for everyone who might work in the building.

The Church stubbornly resisted the compromise, saying it was unacceptable. The Administration says they’ve done all they can to try compromising. Said Obama Chief of Staff Jack Lew, “We believe what the president has offered is a balanced approach to housing needs, while protecting religious liberties. This is a solution so that they are not offering it, they are not providing it, they are not paying for it.” Lew Added, “I think a lot of good work was done and hopefully this will now set the issue to rest.”

Obama: Messiah, or Better?

BARACK OBAMA: THE NEW MESSIAH?

Some Believe he is the new Christ, or at least the Real Christ

Wingnut Press 2/14/2012

As shown in Obama campaign website

“Keeping His Word” is the name of a new Obama campaign website. On the surface the title seems innocuous enough; people want to keep President Obama’s words from being distorted or misused. The president is saying he has been keeping his word to the american people.

But look at the title, and perhaps read it aloud. “Keeping his word” sounds biblical. Many of us were taught to keep Christ’s Word. In the Bible it says we are to keep His word. And The Word is used in the Bible as a reference to divinity, as in “the Word was with God and the Word was God.”

Are we being told to obey Obama, and “keep his word” as we were previously told to keep that other guy’s word. What was his name? Oh yeah, that Jesus guy.

Then look at the capitalization of the words. It’s a title, so it’s possibly you would say “keeping” and “word” would be capitalized. But why is “His” capitalized. I haven’t seen the word “his” capitalized since last time I read the bible.

I know the are already excuses forming in your mind. The word “his” is capitalized so you can separate the words in the website listing www.keepinghisword.com

So that explains showing it that way in advertising for the site, but in the site itself? Just one more way to push the idea that Obama is more than human. That He is above all us mere mortals. That He is the one who can save us. Newsweek portrayed Obama as Shiva with the title “God of all Things” back in 2010, and Newsweek editor Evan Thomas said Obama is “sort of God,” as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37B_nOdRTAA

When Obama wanted some legislation passed, and was campaigning for it, he said,

“I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work.”

While it is likely God does want us to put people back to work, obama makes an assumption, unless. . . He talks to God whenever he talks to himself, and that’s how he knows.
